Mobile Ceramics
Mud On the Go
Have us come to your location for large groups such as corporate events, day care, summer camps, schools, and any other large event.
Available for groups of 20 or more, our staff will provide all necessary supplies to your location. All we need is access to water for clean up, and somewhere for everyone to sit all together.

Mobile options below refer to instructor led activities, where we send two staff members to your location, which is subject to staffing availabilities.

If you would like to host the activity yourself and avoid the cost of the instructors, please consider a "Paint at Home Kit" for off-site painting options. We are happy to honour the bulk pricing listed below for groups larger than 20 for Take Home Kits.
Rates​
Total costs include the following: Instructor fee, travel cost and cost of ceramics.

A $200 instructor fee applies to groups of 20-30 participants per 2 hour painting session. This includes two instructors, who will set up, run the activity and clean up. This cost is in addition to the ceramics, which are priced individually, and listed below, as well as the fee for travel that changes dependent on location and availability.

We stay as long as we are needed, though timing for sessions vary depending on group size and age.
This activity is recommended for ages 6+. Younger painters do not have the patience for this activity and will complete their projects very quickly (under and hour or less for young participants). Average time required for the activity is 1.5-2 hours.

In the event that there are multiple groups over a day, instructor fees will be charged per 2 hour session.
​
We are able to serve both French and English speaking painters, as we have fully bilingual staff. Please specify language preference at time of booking. *Subject to staffing availability.

​Travel Costs
We currently have one staff member with a vehicle, so we are able to travel to areas within a 15 minute drive of our location in Old Ottawa South at no additional charge, pending availability of said staff member. Further distances will be subject to a travel surcharge. Quote will be given during booking depending on travel distance.

Otherwise, if the date falls outside the availability of our staff member with a vehicle, our staff will need to travel to you by Uber from our location and return. Upon booking we will give you an estimate based on a similar time of day, and the final cost of travel will be added to your bill.
Payment
The Instructor fee is to be paid in advance to secure the booking.
As well, very large orders may be subject to advance payment, to be discussed during booking.
Finished items will be held until payment is received.
We will send you a link by email to pay the invoice by credit card for your convenience, but we do also accept cheques.

Items to Paint​
In addition to the instructor fee, we charge per ceramic item painted.
Mud On The Go ceramics are reduced from our in-store prices and so are not negotiable. Prices do not include HST.

Mud on the Go packages start at 20 participants (prices below x 20 regardless of number of participants day-of). You can choose to keep extra items and paint in store or do a take home kit with them for another time. Ask us for clarification on this if you're unsure.

We offer the following options for items to paint:
4 ¼ Square Tile - $15.00 each
6” Square Tile - $16.00 each
10oz Basic Mugs or Small Essential Bowl - $22.00 each
Tots (Small assorted figurines) - $21.00 each
Party Animals (Larger assorted figurines) - $24.00 each
16oz Large Basic Mugs - $28 each

​All items are subject to availability and we require 2-4 weeks advance notice to ensure we can stock the desired items.
We may have available stock for last minute bookings, but it's not guaranteed. Please contact us to discuss this option if you're looking for a last minute booking.
We are happy to order in special items for your needs.

Total Payment Estimate
A basic price total estimate is as follows:
$200 Instructor Fee + Cost of ceramic item chosen x amount of painters x 13% HST = Total cost
There are no additional fees, except for Uber Package delivery, Uber rides for staff as detailed above, or gas surcharge for long distance visits.​​

Firing & Glazing Process​
Once the activity is over, we need to bring the items back to our store to be glazed and fired.
​
Our turn around time is 7-10 days, however in the event that the items are needed sooner, we are able to rush the pieces in as little as 4 days (for groups of 20-30, we cannot guarantee the 4 day option for larger groups due to our kiln capacity).
This is not always possible and so please specify any rush times during booking. If you are running a summer camp and would like the pieces back to the participants before the end of the week, please book your event on a Monday. We are able to have items back to you by the Friday if booked on a Monday.

Delivery Or Pick Up Of Completed Items
​
After firing, the items are ready to be picked up at our studio.
Delivery is subject to availability, and is an additional $25.
Or delivery can be arranged at your cost using Uber Package.
